Hello! We are Molly and Alex. We deeply appreciate the time you are taking to get to know us and our family. We are eagerly awaiting welcoming a second child, and look forward to you getting to know us.
Alex was born in Cincinnati and naturally a Cincinnati Bengals fan and Molly is from Columbus and prefers the Cleveland Browns (we are a big sports family). Our adventures together started when we met in the hardware aisle while both working at Home Depot in Columbus, during college. We married in 2010, two years to the day of our first date, then moved to Cincinnati for work in 2012. Molly is currently a registered nurse and was previously an art teacher and Alex works in a lab at a chemical plant.
Merrick is a playful and fun 18-month-old who loves music and playing with his two older cousins. He is such a happy kid who loves exploring the world with us. He has already been to two National Parks, nine states and three different countries while on a cruise. He loves running around at the park, taking swim lessons, going to music class and taking in the sights at the zoo or aquarium. We have flexible work schedules that allow us to be home on weekends and spend more time at home with Merrick during the work week. He spends one day with each set of grandparents, two days with Molly and one day with Alex and we spend the weekends together as a family. This would be the plan moving forward with a second child. Our families are an incredible support system and we have been blessed to have two families that get along so well. Adoption has always been a part of our family. Molly’s dad and aunt were adopted as were two of Alex’s cousins. We also have close relationships with many of our friends children and they all look forward to another kid joining the group.
We are currently living in a suburb of Cincinnati about 20 minutes from downtown with many young children in our neighborhood. We frequent many of the areas local parks and spend a lot of time downtown as well. We have passes to the zoo, YMCA, aquarium and museum. We frequent sporting events like the Reds, UC Bearcats and FC Cincinnati as well as attending other festivals and events. We also enjoy traveling, particularly to National Parks and Major League Baseball stadiums.
