The GEMS birth mother support group met on February 6th. During our time together, the birth mothers were able to reflect on their adoption journey and personal life for 2022, as well as create goals for 2023. With the reflection and conversation came deep conversations, words of encouragement amongst one another, and many laughs! The theme of the meeting was Valentine’s Day and each woman made a Valentine craft. After the craft, the birth mothers who wished to do so, were able to write a note for their placed child wishing them a Happy Valentine’s Day! The crafts and notes were delivered to the adoptive families to share with the children.
