Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We understand that this is a deeply personal and difficult decision, and we respect the time, thought, and love you are putting into it. We are grateful for the opportunity to show you who we are, our values, and the love we hope to share with a child. No matter what you decide – whether you choose to parent, choose us, or choose another family – please know that your value is not defined by this moment or by any single decision. Our faith teaches us that every person has inherent worth and dignity, and we hold that belief with deep respect for you and your baby.
We met in Ohio before either of us lived here yet! We traveled in for a Catholic young adult get-together (Victoria from New Jersey, Steven from Colorado) and connected over our love for the medical field. We had a long-distance relationship until just before getting married in 2020 at the same church that brought us together! We have been happily married since, living in our log cabin home in a rural area with our three dogs! Coming from big families, we have always dreamed of having a big family of our own. While infertility and pregnancy loss have been part of our journey, we feel strongly that adoption is the path we are meant to take and are excited for this next chapter.
Victoria used to work in the emergency department as a registered nurse, but now uses her nursing background as an at-home teacher! She also has a photography business and LOVES this creative outlet and getting to meet so many new people! Community is super important to her and she has been known to create groups wherever she goes (such as a homemaking group with some church friends!) She has a lot of hobbies (pottery, learning American Sign Language, pickleball, and more!) and can’t wait to share them with future children!
Steven is a firefighter paramedic and a combat medic in the Army Reserves! He has also been in the Marines and the Navy. He grew up in a big family (one of 10 kids!!) on a 250+ acre farm and loves homesteading. He also has a lot of hobbies (wood working, 3D printing, racquetball, beekeeping and more!) and loves to continue to expand his medical knowledge and skills (his latest adventure was getting Ski Patrol certified!).
Thank you so much for taking a look at our story. We respect the thoughtfulness + care you are putting into this decision. Our hope is to raise a child to be joyful, empathetic, charitable, hardworking, and rooted in faith. We look forward to encouraging their interests and being their biggest cheerleaders through every stage of life. We truly wish you peace, clarity, and support every step of the way.
