Hello! Thank you for taking time to “meet us”!
We met at a speed dating event at our church in July 2019. We got married exactly one year later to the date. We talked about and dreamed about our family from the very beginning, even talking about adopting on our second date. Even though we have struggled with infertility, we have always felt God called us to build our family through adoption. We have longed to be a mom and dad forever–we love our life together and can’t wait to bring children into our home. Our pups have been our babies until now—as you can see, they love snuggles! (Hugs is the black lab and Snickers is the golden).
What Kate loves about Pete:
- Pete is the kindest, silliest, sweetest man. I get teary-eyed just trying to describe him, I am beyond blessed to call him my husband. He has the heart of a father already.
What Pete loves about Kate:
- She’s tenacious aka the hardest worker I know! She pays attention to detail. She cares for everyone around her. She loves her family and mine with equal passion.
Pete’s biggest Goal for their kids:
- To learn how they are meant to fit a role in God’s plan. I look forward to helping them discover that with Christ.
Kate’s biggest goal for their kids:
- I can’t wait to see where the Lord leads our children in their lives! God will have a unique mission for each of them and my goal for each of them will be to find that and get moving on it.
Our family motto is: LIFT.
- It stands for: Love, Integrity, Faith and Tenacity.
- We pray our children will LIFT any chance they get, to be someone who builds up, and doesn’t tear down.
