Hi! We are Kelsey and Charles! We are so grateful to you for visiting our page and learning a little more about us! Please know that we are praying for you, we know that this is a hard decision and a hard journey for you to take. We believe that you are a strong and brave woman for making this choice and plan for your child.
We first met in 2011 in undergrad but acquaintances quickly become friends and a year later we were official. We spent our college years as study buddies and bandmates (both of us are marching band engineering nerds!). We graduated together in 2015 and got our careers started before getting engaged in 2017. After a long engagement we got married in 2018 in the same Catholic Church that we attended together during college. We’ve been married for 5 years now and have two dogs, Pork and Snickerdoodle who we just absolutely adore! We have always been very excited about being parents though we have struggled with infertility since we got married so we are looking forward to the journey of adoption and growing our family.
We currently live in the town where Charles grew up and enjoy frequent get togethers with his parents and his brother’s family. We also try to get to Michigan, where Kelsey grew up, every month or two to visit with her parents, two younger brothers, and her younger sister’s family. We really enjoy spending time with our nephews (we have two on each side!) and can’t wait to share the same fun with a little one of our own.
When we aren’t working we really enjoying spending time travelling including road trips with the dogs. We also enjoy doing home improvement projects together and spent the first two years of our marriage building our relationship through the full renovation of our dream home. We said in the beginning that if we could survive that reno project we could survive anything and that has definitely held true so far! Our favorite family tradition since completing that project is going out and picking out a live Christmas tree and cutting it down ourselves to display for the holidays!
We are both working as engineers but our jobs could not be more different. Charles’s job does involve some travel since he works in plant automation and needs to be onsite at customers for installations and testing. When he’s not on the road though he is able to work from home or wherever we are together. Kelsey’s job is in aviation and while it is a challenging career she has full flexibility to work from home as long as the work gets done!
We are beyond grateful for the blessings we have received so far in life, not the least of which is the amazing relationship we’ve built. We are also very excited at the opportunities ahead of us to grow our family. We are happy that you’ve chosen to learn a bit more about our family and look forward to meeting you in person! If you want to learn even more about us please ask for a copy of our printed profile book where you will get a glimpse into our personalities, families, and lifestyle!
